About Your Therapist

Dr. Felisha Jackson ILyas is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker - Supervisor and Licensed Clinic Social Worker. She is licensed to practice in the states of OH, KY, and TX with 16 years of experience in helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve emotional well-being. Her background is in treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) (focus on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. Helping individuals develop healthier thinking, coping, and behavior strategies) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) (Specifically designed to address trauma and PTSD. Combines elements of CBT with trauma-sensitive approaches, often used with children and adolescents) and many other modalities. Dr. Jackson ILyas specializes in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship issues, etc. Drawing on a compassionate and client-centered approach, Dr. Jackson ILyas tailors each therapeutic experience to meet the unique needs of the client, integrating evidence-based techniques with a deep respect for the individual’s lived experience.

Dr. Jackson ILyas believes in creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their feelings, understand their behaviors, and build skills for lasting change. She is committed to fostering personal growth and helping clients overcome barriers to live more fulfilling, balanced lives. When not in the office, Dr. Jackson ILyas enjoys spending time with family, dining, visiting community centers, attending Islamic conferences or lectures, or just breathing fresh air which further informs her holistic approach to therapy.

Practice Treatment Modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT); Mindfulness-Based Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Solutions - Focused Therapy; Narrative Therapy etc. 

​Each modality offers different tools and approaches. Therapist often integrates multiple techniques based on the client's needs, preferences, and therapeutic goal(s). The choice of modality is influenced by factors such as the nature of the issue being addressed, the client's personality and learning style, and the therapist's expertise.
